Who is Mitsuri Kanroji?

Mitsuri Kanroji is one of the main protagonists in the Demon Slayer series and a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, holding the position of Love Hashira (the highest-ranking swordsmen). As the Hashira, she is one of the nine most strongest hashiras in the Corps and plays a crucial role in the battle against demons.

Despite her cute and somewhat naive appearance, Mitsuri is an extremely capable and powerful demon slayer. Her Breath Style, the Breath of Love, is unique to her and is derived from the Breath of Flames. Obanai is deeply in love with Mitsuri, but nervousness and the fact that he feels he unworthy of her due to his “filthy blood” keeps him from being forthright. She is on good terms with most of the other Demon Slayers and is particularly fond of the younger members, like Tanjiro Kamado, whom she views as a younger brother. Mitsuri has a strained relationship with her father, who was disappointed in her for not conforming to traditional gender roles.

Mitsuri’s abnormal muscular constitution grants her physical strength superior to average humans, even before becoming a Demon Slayer. As a Hashira, her strength is comparable to other elite members like Giyu, Kyojuro, and Sanemi. In her battle against demons, such as those spawned by Upper Rank Five, Gyokko, Mitsuri displayed exceptional swordsmanship, slicing up vases on demons’ backs with incredible speed and accuracy. Mitsuri created the Love Breathing style based on her experience with Flame Breathing while being the Tsuguko of Kyojuro Rengoku. Love Breathing incorporates elements of Mitsuri’s superhuman flexibility and her unique whip-like Nichirin Sword. This breathing style enables her to unleash attacks with a wide range of motion and extended reach, capabilities beyond what a normal katana could achieve.

Flame Breathing:

Mitsuri learned the Flame Breathing style while training under the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. However, she wasn’t as skillful with it and couldn’t fight to her fullest potential. Consequently, Mitsuri developed Love Breathing, a style more suited to her strengths.

The user performs a singular, long-winding swing, cutting the target at multiple angles.

Fifth Form: Swaying Love, Wildclaw:

The user leaps into the air, performs a somersault, and releases dozens of rapid, winding slashes from afar, essentially forming a tornado of slashes.
