Serpent Demon with Demon Slayer

Serpent Demon, the Tsuzumi Mansion Demon

Who is Serpent Demon?

The Serpent Demon from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” was a creature revered by Obanai Iguro’s family. She had a humanoid upper body with long black hair and snake-like yellow eyes with slitted pupils. Her mouth, filled with fangs, stretched wide across her face, and she had a forked tongue. Patterns like veins surrounded her eyes, and her torso was marked with three violet lines.

Her lower half was that of a snake, complete with a long, legless body and brown scales. Her only adornment was a lavish gold necklace studded with an assortment of jewels and four large pearls.

Serpent Demon’s Personality and Background

The Serpent Demon from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” was a particularly vicious demon with a horrifying preference for consuming infants, which she regularly demanded from the Iguro Clan as tribute. Her cruelty was further exemplified when she decided to let Obanai Iguro, the clan’s first male heir in centuries, grow before eating him, even forcing him to bear a disfigured mouth to mirror her own sinister grin.

This demon was not only brutal but also shrewd, having established a symbiotic yet perverse relationship with the Iguro Clan. In exchange for providing her with a steady stream of young victims and a sanctuary from sunlight and demon slayers, she bestowed upon them ill-gotten wealth. She held a position of reverence within the clan, akin to an empress, hidden from the threats of the outside world.

Her downfall came when she underestimated the resolve of young Obanai, who managed to escape her clutches. Enraged by his defiance, she massacred most of the Iguro Clan in retaliation and chased after Obanai. Her reign of terror was abruptly ended by the intervention of Flame Hashira Shinjuro Rengoku, who rescued Obanai and put an end to the Serpent Demon’s atrocities.
